Blind Kitten Story

This kitten is a miracle story for Xango, a mangosteen drink high in anti-oxidents.

The little lilac point boy was born in a litter to a mom that I had never used before, out a cat from another cattery. For some reason, I held onto him for a while and then began to notice that his pupils were extremely dilated even in daylight. I began to think he was blind. I researched his pedigree and could not find any PRA (Progressive Retinal Atrophy) linked to this line although that does not mean it was not there. I had always been very careful about avoiding lines with PRA since it is specifically linked to the chocolate lines.

The very minute I put him on the website for free, Zizzo jumped on it and accused me of bad breeding practices. Well this was the first time I had ever encountered something like this. I do not believe a breeder is at fault for a first time, one time problem. If you continue to breed lines that produce known problems then you should be held accountable.

His name is Asti and he now lives with a friend of mine who loves him with all her heart. He has been diagnosed with allergies which caused him to have high blood pressure which in turn caused the blindness.  He was allergic to chicken of all things! Which, of course, is in almost all cat foods. Who knew!

He has been treated and on mangosteen (Xango)juice for almost a year now, no more problems and has even regained some of his sight. He runs thru her house at great speed and never hits anything unless she leaves something new out in his path!
