Car 54 where are you?

Since you brought up the story of the "really nice" car, here is the truth of the matter.

This is the story of the "really nice" car that Zizzo insisted I take in trade for a solid chocolate female kitten she really wanted. I didn't want the car as it was over 20 years old. But as you can tell by her website she becomes obsessive and really was insistent that I take the car. I kept telling her that I didn't have anyone that would drive two hours to Hemet to pick it up hoping that this would dissuade her. After awhile that subterfuge no longer worked as she decided to drive down and pick me up. I guess I just am not good enough about being confrontational, so I ended up with this car.

This would be the car that 3 miles down the road the check engine light came on, so I called her to ask what she knew about it, only to have her scream at me, "What did you do to the car?" Like I had enough time to do anything. I was certainly afraid to continue on but I did since the alternative of returning was not one I was willing to experience.

A mile from my house, on the freeway no less, the rear tire blew out. I had never had a tire blow out on me in my entire driving career. Well I have to tell you, that scared the you know what out of me. The tires were all dry rotted and before I could get it to a tire place another one blew on the right front. Sheesh, I was beginning to think this was an assassination plot.

This would also be the same car that the speedometer no longer worked on since the hands were lying on the bottom of the gage and it had been turned back to 777. The same car that the heater no longer worked in, nor the air conditioner or the gas gage.

This would also be the same car that the trunk lid no longer worked on so it had to be held up with a stick, a stick that popped out and the heavy trunk lid fell on my head. OUCH!

This would also be the same car that the left front door got stuck shut and had to be professionally opened and the lock mechanism repaired.

This would also be the same car that had been passed back and forth between Zizzo and her sons many times but not ever re-registered so it was going to cost a small fortune to pay for all those transfers. But I complained about this and she took care of it.

This would also be the same car that the left front wheel's rack and pinion was so bad that the wheel could fall off and which in turn causes the power steering to not work on that side of the car.

This was also the same car that had a gas leak in the carburetor which could cause a fire.

This is also the same car that pieces of it kept falling off in my driveway.

And, this was the same car that she insisted was worth the $1000.00 I wanted for my chocolate girl, the Kelly Blue Book said $325.00 if in excellent condition.

Yes, this was a "really nice" car and I only had it for three weeks!

I wouldn't even try to sell it, I gave it to my gardener whose friend took it to Mexico.

Yes Rose Marie, this was a really nice car!
