Here is what this man, unknown to all of us, had to say about her site
A word of warning, deposits is just that. Ask ahead of time, or have in
writing, that its refundable, or a percentage refundable if the buyer changes
their mind and backs out of the transaction. If you purchase Living items, you
may want to make sure there is a guarantee refund upon death within xx days. In
my state, to be enforceable by law, must be in writing if $500.00 or over.
You gave 2 links, which are from the same domain. Due to being fair to both
parties, it would be nice to see other complaints regarding this breeder, from
other sources than from pedigree-cbs.org. In order to show that the website
creator does not have a grudge or hidden addenda.
*** I would like to warn members on the 2nd link for ***
pedigree-cbs.org/daily.html
The website has been specifically designed hostile to browsers. An html java
script called "Disabled Code" which seams to exist only on this page
but not linked pages. When you right click twice, you are forced to ctrl+alt+del
and shut down your browser. If you have other browser windows opened as well,
they may all shut down. In my case, it closed all my open browser windows.
I myself use right click - open in new window to save the original page, while
continuing to read new pages in its own separate window, which the links do not
do on their own. I personally find this cumbersome for a web page, especially
with multiple linked pages. I would like to urge caution when viewing this
link.
Thank you, I think you mistaken my reply, the link above is to the same
domain pedigree-cbs.org. The 35 pages you are
referring to are hosted on pedigree-cbs.org. Rather from other independent sources.
I get concerned when 1 source is used if this truly is a problem, multiple
sources would be readably available, and one could google and receive other
sources

Actually doing the search I found out that a complaint against pedigree-cbs.org "Digital Millennium
Copyright Act Complaint of Copyright Infringement Against www.pedigree-cbs.org” from
http://www.chillingeffects.org/dmca512/notice.cgi?NoticeID=1769
I find this quite disturbing, since pedigree-cbs.org has taken great lengths to
script its website to not copy its own images.
I also found a report on http://badbusinessbureau.com/view.asp?id=132317&view=printer
, though its roughly the same as reported on this site, which seams to be the
same persons views
This site indicates that www.pedigree-cbs.orgis a fraud and sheds
light about being banned for life "suspended for life, from the Cat
Fanciers Association, for conduct detrimental to the cat fancy, which includes
the content of her web site, and the fact that she has persisted in reporting
the breeders on her site, to every bureau or authority she comes across,
sometimes filing these complaints in other people's names, without their
knowledge or consent"
(This was of course when Ms.
Zizzo owned this site, it now belongs to us.)

From the little research I have done, I have
reservations on pedigree-cbs.org
as a credible source, Their website design is questionable, and they
supports its own documentation on their website, rather than linking of off
site independent sources, possible border line on OCD or a customers bad
experiences that has taken this to a crusade level, in my opinion. Please
google yourself and make up your own mind.

| J. D. | I bought two cats from this Zizzo in Hemet. One died of FIP, the other one is ok. When I called her about the cat she got really angry and never returned any more of my calls. She seemed so nice when she wanted my money, but not when there was a problem. I was so sad about my kitty and she wouldn't do anything. I tried to make a complaint on her website but she said it wasn't allowed to complain about her. I am gld to see this site about her, I had no idea or I never would have got a kitten from her. :( |
| Terry | I read this persons stuff and it seems that she is really obsessed with just one breeder. I wrote her a comment that she needs to get a life but she never posted it. |
| Karen from SD | I have 5 cats from Melanie, and have been to her house 5 times. It was very clean and she is so nice and her cats are so sweet and friendly. I made the mistake of wearing black the first time and because her cats layed all over me, I left looking like a hairball. I so enjoyed my visit and couldn't wait to return for another cat. I got my first cat from her 7 years ago. The next one she gave me because my old cat had just died and she didn't want me to be sad. Then I came back every year for the next 3 years and got another one for my birthday present from my husband. All of my cats are very healthy, they are so smart and loving. I do not know what I would do without them. I would go back again but my husband says enough! I think it is horrible that this terrible person is allowed to say horrible things about Melanie and no one can stop her. You can't go wrong getting one of her cats, they are wonderful! |

Hey there Melanie,
It's Jen Sprague, I called today to see if you have any kittens
available. I looked online to find your new site, and I saw that
ridiculous bashing site. I just want you to know that I sent them a long
letter with all positives about you. I don't know if you remember me, but
you did help me over the phone quite a few times with advice and I hadn't
even purchased a kitten from you. I think your great and your cats are
gorgeous. You email me and let me know if you have any kittens! I hope
that you are doing well despite this, you were very generous with your
help and I will always be grateful. I used to live in Westminster, now I
live in the Phoenix AZ area.
You take care,
Jen Sprague

"I am writing about the breeder Melanie Lowry of Lollimops Cattery. I was sad to see so many mean things being said about Lollimops. I purchased my sweet and wonderful Persian from her almost exactly 3 years ago. Of the 3 persians I have the kitten from lollimops has the best temper and has never once had any health problems. When I chose my kitten I was in her home and in no way was it dirty or filthy or in any of the conditions some other articles mentioned. In fact, I was impressed at how clean it was considering she had a lot of beautiful and friendly Persians. Recently my husband suprised me and bought me a new persian kitten for Christmas. Had I known he was going to buy one I would have told him to contact Lollimops. I have also seen negative articles about her contract. Every Persian I have owned, different breeders, has required a contract and they were all pretty much the same and mainly for the benefit of the cat. What do remember about Melanie compared to other breeders is that she seemed very picky about who she would sell to, mainly because she loes her cats and wants to be sure that they will be well taken care of. She seemed more concerned with selling to a good home than making a profit. I paid a lot less for my Persian from her than my others and again hers was the healthiest. Anyone that is considering getting a sweet, adorable, and healthy cat should not listen to what others are saying because I find it very hard to be true. Her contract is and was very fair. I remember that she clearly stated that she reccomends taking a new kitten to a vet for a Vet to determine the health condition right away. Anyone who waited months to then claim that there was a problem seems much more guilty for not following this advice, that is given by most breeders. Neglegent owners should take resposibility for their own bad actions and choices and not blame a breeder that also has had a good reputaion long before a few neglegent owners all jumped on the same band wagon." |
| 12-05 Hari, has cat from Lollimops |
Hi Melanie, Hope you're doing well. It's probably been a year or so since I've written you - I'm Hari from New Jersey - I bought a chocolate persian kitten from you years ago. Dexter's been doing great and we now live in Austin. Just thought I'd write and say hello - hope all is well on your end. You know, I googled you to find your email address again - and I saw some site come up that criticized your cattery. With further investigation, I saw that some psycho seems to be bent on ruining your business - I'm really sorry to see that. I hope it isn't affecting you too badly - I must say that my experience with you was great and Dexter is a fine cat! Anyway, just thought I'd write and wish you a happy 2006. Talk to you later! Regards, Hari |
